SpinOff Bulgaria introduces their distinguished speaker Mariyana Hamanova

Sofia, Bulgaria: The Science and Innovation-based Non-profit Organisation called SpinOff Bulgaria is delighted to announce the Chief Executive of Cleantech Bulgaria as a distinguished speaker at the Innovative Agrotech Solutions Panel on Friday, September 29, 2023, Mariyana Hamanova.

Reportedly, the Spotlight speaker, Mariyana Hamanova, will address the panel on Innovative Agrotech Solutions: Cultivating Sustainable Growth and Generating Spinoff Opportunities from 16:00 – 16:30.

SpinOff Bulgaria is a Non-profit Organisation Spinoff Bulgaria is the leading initiative for technology transfer, science-based innovation and university spinoffs in Bulgaria.

It aims to create and support a sustainable spinoff ecosystem in Bulgaria and Europe by connecting national stakeholders with international partners.

The SpinOff Bulgaria introduced Mariyana Hamanova, the Executive Director of Cleantech Bulgaria and the National Contact Point (NCP) for Cluster 6: Food, Bioeconomy, Natural Resources, Agriculture, and Environment, as a distinguished speaker at their upcoming event.

Mariyana Hamanova is a true leader in sustainable development, environmental protection, circular economy, and resource optimisation. With over a decade of experience in project management, she has been at the forefront of initiatives to advance sustainability and innovation in Bulgaria and beyond.

Mariyana is pivotal in coordinating initiatives of the EIT – European Institute of Innovation and Technology in Bulgaria. Under her leadership, Cleantech Bulgaria is an official partner and member of EIT’s Regional Innovation Scheme (RIS), including EIT Climate-KIC RIS, EIT Manufacturing, and EIT Urban Mobility. Her dedication to driving innovation and sustainability is truly commendable.

As a member of the Monitoring Committee for implementing the program “Innovation and Competitiveness 2014-2020,” Mariyana contributes significantly to shaping Bulgaria’s innovation landscape.

She is also a valued National Council for Science and Innovation member under the Ministry of Education and Science, representing the Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria.

Mariyana’s expertise extends to her role as an NCP for Cluster 6, focusing on Food, Bioeconomy, Natural Resources, Agriculture, and Environment under the Horizon Europe program. Her contributions to advancing innovation in these critical areas are making a significant impact.

In addition to her leadership and advisory roles, Mariyana is an Associate Professor at the University of Entrepreneurship, Finance, and Insurance (VUZF), where she imparts knowledge on Circular Economy, Sustainable Development, and Climate Change.

Mariyana holds an impressive academic background, including a Master’s degree in Economics and Management (MBA) from FOM Essen, Germany, and the Technical University of Sofia. She also earned a Bachelor of Sociology from the University of Konstanz, Germany.

At last, while concluding her achievements, SpinOff Bulgaria urged people not to miss the opportunity to gain invaluable insights from Mariyana Hamanova during the panel “Innovative Agrotech Solutions Cultivating Sustainable Growth and Generating Spinoff Opportunities.”
