St Kitts and Nevis: PM Terrance Drew joins security meeting to develop anti-violence methods

St Kitts and Nevis: On Wednesday, March 29, 2023, the National Security Advisor, Major General Stewart Saunders, and the High Command of the Royal St Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) and St Kitts and Nevis Defence Forces attended the joint Security Meeting.

During the discussion, PM Terrance Drew made the safety and security of St Kitts and Nevis and its residents a top priority. According to him, St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party’s commitment to assuring public safety and security stems from the fact that it is their top priority for development.

The gathering included fruitful discussions on recent homicides in the Federation and suggestions for strengthening the government’s efforts to maintain peace and harmony in society. He declared that his government would take strategic measures to stop such violent incidents in the island nation.

This afternoon, the Royal St Christopher and Nevis Police Force’s High Command, under the direction of Commissioner James Sutton, held a press conference to inform the public about the strategies and actions the law enforcement agency is taking to ensure the safety and security of locals and citizens.

The law enforcement agency should use the methods and creative ideas presented at the news conference to create peace and security across the nation.

The Police Training Complex hosted the news conference. St Kitts and Nevis government is still exerting great effort to make sure that the security services continue to treat crime with zero tolerance while prioritising upholding law and order throughout the Federation.

Today (Monday, March 27 2023), the Prime Minister and Minister of Health, Terrance Drew, also called Ophthalmic Unit at the Joseph N. France General Hospital, where examined several new pieces of government-purchased equipment.
