US Embassy Kyiv, Ukraine: RELO hosts three days workshop on social-emotional learning

The Regional English Language Office at the US Embassy in Kyiv, Ukraine, is delighted to host a recent three-day workshop on social-emotional learning for 59 Ukrainian educators who are alumni of the Regional English Language Office programme, RELO and also shared some updates from the workshop.

The Regional English Language Office, RELO, is the United States Department of State office that serves the Education and Cultural Affairs in the state.

While sharing the details, the RELO highlighted a quote: A life is not about the change, but coming home to yourself- The Adaptive Leadership, by Dr John J. Scherer.

The Regional English Language Office (RELO) at the US Embassy in Kyiv, Ukraine, was pleased to organise a three-day workshop on social-emotional learning for 59 Ukrainian educators who are alumni of RELO programs. During wartime, English language classrooms can transform from simply academic courses to places of stability, connection, and refuge for students and teachers who have experienced trauma.

More than ever, educators in Ukraine are tasked with supporting students’ mental health and well-being while improving their language skills.

An essential first step is to focus on teachers’ well-being and provide a safe place for students.

The RELO, while extending a vote of thanks to the present dignitaries at the conference, thanked:
