America celebrates National Intern Day, said goodbye to 2 of their interns

America Celebrated National Intern Day on Thursday, July 27, 2023, and said goodbye to their two interns, Karolina Naidion and Mariana Piontkkovska, who have recently completed their internships in their respective Universities in the United States. They also recognised their hard work and dedication in supporting the Ukraine Embassy in the USA.

As per the update, On Thursday, July 27, 2023, the two interns- Karolina Naidion, who is a student at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York, and Mariana Piontkovska, a student at the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University in Washington DC have successfully come to the ending of their training period.

The Embassy also shared some glimpses from the National Intern Day Celebration via their official social media handle and presented the interns with awards for marking the successful conclusion.

Over their successful conclusion, the Embassy of Ukraine in the USA extended their pleasure and remarked that Karolina and Mariana supported the work and activities of the Embassy and Ukraine House in Washington DC this summer. They also thanked them for being a part of the special internship program of The Washington Group (TWG).

Further, the Embassy also shared about the association of Ukrainian-American professionals in Washington DC, TWG, launched its internship program in partnership with the Embassy of Ukraine in the USA in 1996. The program continued for a decade until 2005.

The program reflected TWG’s mission of providing opportunities for college students and young professionals with an interest in Ukraine and U.S.-Ukraine relations.

The Embassy of Ukraine in the USA extended their pleasure and is genuinely grateful to Karolina and Mariana for their intricate and diligent work at the Embassy.

“We are thankful to TWG and the members of the fellowship committee – Natalie Korytnyk Forrester, Orest Deychakiwsky and Adrian Karmazyn – for helping us identify such strong candidates for the 2023 summer internship program,” the Embassy stated.
