Kashmir: To promote and explore tourism at the previously untapped locations, the District Administration of MundDaji, Rafiabad of the Baramulla District, recently celebrated the snow festival as part of the current winter celebration in the neighbourhood.
According to sources, the Baramulla District’s arranged winter carnival primarily aimed to entice visitors worldwide to stop by and discover Jammu & Kashmir’s stunning and undiscovered tourist sites.
Across the Baramulla district and surrounding regions, there have been numerous crowds and gatherings of young people who are participating in the snow festival as well as athletes and other stakeholders in the ongoing winter carnival.
For his part, Dr. Syed Sehrish Asgar, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of the Baramulla district, has informed the local populace of MundDaji, Rafiabad, and other joining districts that they will receive the designation of tourist destinations, which is anticipated to generate and provide employment opportunities for the local youth and people to earn a living.
When it first opened to tourists, the ongoing winter carnival has received a lot of publicity, which has helped to improve the local atmosphere and given the carnival’s vendors financial rewards. According to reports, adventure fans as well as locals are enjoying and attending the winter carnival because it also provides adventure sports.
Also, the Baramulla district’s district government has received praise and appreciation from the residents for their efforts in coordinating the first-of-its-kind event that kicked off the snow festival in MundDaji Rafiabad.
At the entrance of Rafiabad, the Civil Society Rafiabad had earlier greeted DC Baramulla and other district officers. The carnival had a fantastic reaction and inspired a wave of enthusiasm among young people and adventure seekers to visit Rafiabad’s utopia of MundDaji.
On occasion, various line departments had set up their booths to advertise the services they offered. A felicitation ceremony was conducted later, during which many stakeholders received awards.
