India: NSA Doval meets with US counterpart Sullivan

National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, his American counterpart Jake Sullivan, US Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo, CEOs from both countries, and leaders from prominent universities attended a “special and unique reception” hosted by India’s Ambassador to the US Taranjit Singh Sandhu.

During the reception, dignitaries discussed expanding bilateral cooperation in critical and emerging technology. Taranjit Singh Sandhu, who shared glimpses of the reception at India House on Twitter, wrote, “A one-of-a-kind and special reception in India House! Pleased to host India’s NSA Ajit Doval, US NSA @JakeSullivan46, Commerce Sec @GinaRaimondo, CEOs from India and the US, and university leaders.

Doval met with US Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley upon his arrival in Washington on Tuesday. Both nations discussed various aspects of bilateral cooperation during the meeting.

The Indian Embassy in The US posted on Twitter, “Today, General Mark Milley, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff @thejointstaff, met with NSA Ajit Doval. Discussion on various aspects of bilateral cooperation was fruitful.”

Earlier, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval attended a Track 1.5 event at the US Chamber of Commerce hosted by the US-India Business Council, alongside his American counterpart Jake Sullivan and US Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo.

On Tuesday, a serious discussion was conducted on the sidelines of the Initiative on Critical and Emerging Technologies (ICET) official high-level dialogue. Top industry representatives from both India and the United States attended the event.

Doval and Sullivan are set to organise an official meeting on Tuesday afternoon. The discussions at the White House will be laser-focused on aligning Washington and New Delhi’s strategic, commercial, and scientific approaches to technology.

“iCET is the upcoming milestone in India-US Strategic Partnership with the simple goal of increasing bilateral cooperation in areas of interest to India,” an official familiar with India-US discussions told ANI.
