Italy logs 104,065 new COVID-19 cases with 235 deaths

On Sunday, January 30, 2022, a total of 104,065 people was exposed to the novel coronavirus over the past 24 hours in Italy, as per the health ministry of the country.

On the other hand, the number of cases of the COVID-19 virus was recorded a day before Sunday was 137,147.

Further, a total of 235 people have lost their lives due to the infection caused by the SARS-CoV-2 over the past 24 hours in the country. On the other hand, a total of 377 people have lost their lives due to the contagious mutant on the previous day.

With the emergence of the new deaths and while comparing with the deaths on the previous day, it was stated that the country had recorded a decrement in the number of deaths associated with the infection caused by the novel coronavirus.

Since the pandemic has emerged in the country, a total of 146,149 deaths have been reported in the country due to the deadly viral infection caused by the SARS-CoV-2.

As per the reports, the number of patients admitted to the hospital due to the viral infection caused by the COVID-19 virus was stood at 19,617 over the past 24 hours in Italy, on the other hand, if fell down from the previous day, as the number of patients admitted to the hospital facilities due to the COVID-19 virus was 19,636.

Moreover, a total of 95 new admissions into the intensive care unit of the COVID-19 has been reported in the country and fell down from 118 on Saturday. With the new emergence of the patients, the total number of patients has risen to 1593 from a previous toll which was 1,588.

Moreover, the number of deaths in Italy is the second-highest death toll in Europe due to the novel coronavirus after Britain, which is on the first stage.

On the other hand, the country has stood at the ninth position in the entire world as so far, the number of deaths due to the novel coronavirus was stood at 10.9 million.

Over the past 24 hours, a total of 818,169 samples of the novel coronavirus have been processed on Sunday, January 30, 2022, as per the health ministry.
