St Kitts and Nevis: Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew emphasised Mental Health as a crucial topic that demands public attention while addressing a National Consultation event on Mental Health at the Marriott Ballroom.
Prime Minister Dr Terrance was pleasured from the meeting. In his long official social media post, he described the importance of Mental health in one’s life. He asserted the issue of Mental Health as the one that should come to light and attention. He also shared some glimpses from the meeting with the delegations from the Health Ministry.
Reportedly, the National Consultation event on Mental Health was hosted by the Pan American Health Organisation and the Ministry of Health. Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew addressed the importance of Mental Health as a topic of public awareness and attention.
The event served as a platform for a comprehensive mental health discussion focusing on Collaboration and practical solutions. The consultation aimed to bridge the gap between policies, practices, and the needs of the communities.
Prime Minister Dr Terrance extended his pleasure and gratitude from the event and highlighted the need to make and initiate effective strategies for Mental Health.
“We believe that by coming together and engaging in meaningful dialogue, we can pave the way for actionable strategies that will make a positive impact on mental health in our nation. Together, we can make a
difference,” he asserted.
Further, Prime Minister Dr. Terrance highlighted that Mental Health is a real cause that doesn’t define who the person is; instead, it defines the people’s worth and that they are more precious to this world than they know.
Furthermore, he extended his support to people struggling with mental health issues and shared that those with mental health issues need the community’s support. “We all need each other. Let’s be our brother’s keeper,” he added.
