The Global Leadership Summit, a Lusaka-based Non-Governmental Organisation, introduced its new speaker, Esther Munalula Nkandu, at this Year’s Global Leadership Summit 2023, scheduled for Saturday, October 7 2023, at Mulungushi Conference Center in Lusaka.
The Global Leadership Summit is a World-Class event aiming to raise leaders worldwide. The Summit aims to make leaders inspired and equipped so they can lead transformation in their communities and around the world.
Recently, the Global Leadership Summit has introduced its new speaker, Prof Esther Munalula Nkandu who will address this Year’s Summit 2023, which is scheduled to be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023.
KNOW HERE: About Prof Esther Munalula Nkandu
Prof Esther Munalula Nkandu is the immediate past Zambia’s Ambassador to Belgium, Netherlands, Luxemburg, and the European Union. Prior to her appointment, she served as founder and Dean of the School of Health Sciences at the University of Zambia (UNZA), which houses Physiotherapy, Pharmacy, Biomedical Sciences and Radiography.
Still under the UNZA, she has served as a Senator, representing the School of Medicine and, later, Health Sciences. Prof Munalula Nkandu is a Physiotherapist and a Bioethicist.
She has been the founder and Head of the Department of Physiotherapy at the University of Zambia (UNZA) School of Medicine from 2000-2013.
As a Physiotherapist, she has presided over the Zambia Society of Physiotherapy and Chaired the World Confederation for Physical Therapy- (WCPT) Africa Region.
She has also served as a Board Member of WCPT, on which she represented the Africa Region, and held the position of Treasure General and Chair of the Finance Committee from 2015 to 2019.
As a Bioethicist, she has chaired the Biomedical Research Ethics and served as Vice Chair of the Natural Sciences Research Ethics Committee under UNZA. She has Chaired ERES Converge, a private IRB and has served on an Advisory Committee on Research Ethics under the Ministry of Health.
Outside the University of Zambia, she has served as Vice Chair of the Medical Council of Zambia, now the Health Professions Council of Zambia, and Chaired the Road Transport and Safety Agency and the Radiation Protection Authority.
She is a Fellow of the Institute of Directors of Zambia (IoDZ) and has also Presided over IoDZ. She is a trained trainer in Corporate Governance and a Fellow of the Governance Institute – (former ICSA) in London.
Prof Esther Munalula Nkandu currently serves in the University of Zambia under the School of Health and represents the said School in the UNZA Senate.
She will speak at the Global Leadership Summit, which will take place on Saturday 7th, October 2023, at Mulungushi Conference Center from 08:30 -17:00.
