“I’m glad you are here again, where for so many years, a wonderful and spiritual thing begins – the next edition of Plovdiv Reads.” Why Plovdiv? Because, I would say, this is where he belongs. And it is very beautiful and trustworthy because the Ancient Theater is a sacred place for Plovdiv, for the world culture, I would say. And from here began many great deeds that have been done in culture,” said Minister Krastev. He shared with the audience what reading is for him – a universal key to the past, present and future of human beings; a universal spruce to the secrets of the human soul, the Bible of human life; the alpha and omega of the human ability to seek humility, reconciliation and harmony within themselves. “Reading is a gift from the Gods, and it is our duty to pass it on to future generations. “So this mission is great, and I am happy that it is happening in Plovdiv,” the Minister of Culture said.
