Disneyland Paris has announced the opening date of its highly anticipated World of Frozen, a fully immersive land inspired by the blockbuster Frozen films. Launching on 29 March 2026, the new area will form the centrepiece of the ongoing transformation of the Walt Disney Studios Park into the newly renamed Disney Adventure World.

Designed on a life-size scale, the Frozen-themed land will transport visitors directly into the Kingdom of Arendelle, complete with an impressive 118-foot-tall North Mountain. The mountain will be crowned by a gleaming recreation of Elsa’s Ice Palace, one of the most recognisable visual icons of the franchise.

At the foot of the mountain, guests will step into a bustling Arendelle town square, framed by colourful Nordic-inspired houses and buildings. As they explore the vibrant centre, villagers and performers will guide them through the immersive landscape, all accompanied by reimagined versions of the film’s beloved songs.

Visitors will be led towards key landmarks including Arendelle Bay, the Fountain of Friendship, and the grand Arendelle Castle, which will serve as the setting for magical character encounters with Anna and Elsa.

One of the most anticipated features of the land is the debut of Frozen Ever After, a new boat ride attraction that takes guests on a captivating journey through iconic moments from the Frozen story. The ride will begin in a serene snow-covered forest before moving into the mystical Valley of the Trolls, where familiar faces from the films make appearances.

The journey continues through a dazzling recreation of Elsa’s Ice Palace, shimmering with icy blue effects and musical performances. The attraction culminates in a spectacular finale at Arendelle Bay, where snowflake-shaped fireworks will illuminate the night sky, creating an unforgettable ending.

Guests will also have the chance to interact with a host of favourite Frozen characters throughout the land. Among them will be a true-to-size Olaf, brought to life through cutting-edge robotic technology designed to provide a realistic and expressive encounter for visitors.

The arrival of World of Frozen marks a significant milestone in the multi-year transformation of Disneyland Paris’ second park. Once complete, Disney Adventure World will feature a new main avenue, 14 dining locations, and a range of themed lands celebrating the worlds of Disney Animation, Pixar Animation Studios, and Marvel Studios.

Adjacent to the new Frozen land is the already established World of Pixar, home to attractions inspired by Toy Story, Ratatouille, and other Pixar favourites. A new attraction based on Tangled will also join the lineup, adding to the growing portfolio of fantasy adventures.

A fourth world, themed around Disney’s classic animated film The Lion King, is set to open at a later stage, bringing yet another major narrative universe into the park.

Natacha Rafalski, présidente of Disneyland Paris, described the 2026 opening as a “historic milestone” for the resort. “With this step, we’re pursuing the most ambitious transformation in our resort’s history,” she said. “This marks a new era for Europe’s number one tourist destination, filled with deeper storytelling, stronger emotions, and unforgettable moments.”

With its scale, detail, and technological innovation, World of Frozen is expected to draw millions of visitors, ushering in a new chapter for Disneyland Paris and solidifying its position as Europe’s leading theme park destination.
