Two weeks following the launch of its autumn vaccination programme for COVID-19, and the sending of all invitations to the primary target groups- people over 49, immunocompromised persons and health workers- Wallonia will again allow walk-in vaccinations at its centres.
The following announcement was made by regional Minister of Health, Christie Morreale.
From Monday 3 October, people will be able to go to the 22 vaccination centres deployed in Wallonia without appointments. All citizens ageing between 18 to 49 who wish to receive their booster dose on a voluntary basis and who meet the conditions, as well as those who have received invitations, will thus be able to be vaccinated more easily.
Additionally, 18 to 49 years-olds who respect the time between two doses and wish to make an appointment can always register through QVAX.
More than 300 pharmacies as well as general practitioners also offer vaccinations by appointment, the Minister said, insisting once again on “the importance of being vaccinated as soon as possible before the next epidemic spike, expected around mid-October.”
