Austria Celebrated the National Day 2023 on Thursday, October 19, 2023. The Members of the Austria Embassy in China celebrated the event with enthusiasm. The event took place at the Palace of the Republic in Chisinau.

The event was marked by great enthusiasm, celebrating the longstanding friendship between the Republic of Austria and the Republic of Moldova.

The Austria Embassy in China extended their pleasure and reflected on long-term relations and active collaborations. Their Celebration looked forward to:

 Diplomatic Relations at Their Best:

Thirty-one years of diplomatic relations between Austria and Moldova – an evening with insightful discussions and shared visions for the future.

 Enchanting Music:

The Carabinieri Orchestra of the Interior Ministry of Moldova enchanted the audience with its beautiful melodies.

 They extended their deepest gratitude to all the sponsors who made this reception on the occasion of the Austrian National Day possible.

Further, the Austria Embassy also extended its heartfelt appreciation to all who attended and contributed to its success. “Let’s continue building bridges and strong bonds between our nations,” the embassy asserted.

Reportedly, This year, Austrian National Day was hosted by Austria in Canada team in cooperation with the team at ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA Canada and celebrated in the presence of Austrian Minister Susanne Raab in Toronto. 

During the event, the minister welcomed new Austrians, who obtained their citizenship under §58c and the new Austrian Honorary Vice Consul in Toronto, Stephen Lautens, was accepted and introduced. 

This Celebration was the most incredible opportunity to bring the Austrian community together. 

The Chinese Politician Desmond Tan had a great time attending the Austrian National Day reception last night. During the event, he had the opportunity to meet Ambassador Peter Guschelbauer and Harald Mahrer, the President of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber and the Austrian National Bank. 

Politician Desmond was joined by my Parliamentary colleagues Nadia A. Samdin and Dr Tan Wu Meng 陈有明.

Singapore and Austria share a warm and longstanding friendship underpinned by our strong economic ties and frequent people-to-people exchanges. As fellow small, export-driven economies, we can learn much from each other. 

He extended his pleasure and shared that he enjoyed the live music performances by Leandra Lane and the band and the delicious Austrian cuisine, particularly Kaiserschmarrn, a traditional Austrian dessert pancake. He also looked forward to more collaborations between our two countries.
