Basseterre, Saint Kitts and Nevis: On March 7, 2023, the National Assembly gave the three bills their first and one-second reading. The government of St. Kitts and Nevis recently provided an update on these proceedings. The administration’s latest report also claims that National Assembly’s Order Paper was also made public on Tuesday.

The National Assembly Chambers of the Basseterre Government Center hosted the assembly. The update stated that the Assembly will begin at 10 am and that a notice had been issued.

Terrence Drew, the Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, the Minister of Health and Social Security, and the Ministers in charge of Finance, National Security, Citizenship, and Immigration will all request the introductory leave.

The Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (Amendment) Bill 2023, the Midwives and Nurses (Registration) (Amendment) Bill 2023, and the Banking (Amendment) Bill 2023 will all be introduced for the first time.

In addition, Prime Minister Drew would continue with the Nurses and Midwives (Registration) (Amendment) Bill, 2023, in its second reading.

The National Assembly will be broadcast live by ZIZ Radio (96 FM) and other collaborating radio stations, according to an update from the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis administration.

It will also be live-streamed at www.zizonline.com. The administration has also stated that it can be seen on TV Channel 5 in St. Kitts and Channel 98 in Nevis.

According to the most recent official updates, the Federation government will change several laws and provisions. These Bills cover both domestic and international topics as well as programmes. The distribution of the proper funds to various government entities will also be discussed.
