The European Union Delegation visited Help International School in Malaysia on Friday, April 14, 2023.
The European Union in Malaysia took to their social media on Friday, April 14, 2023, and shared about the visit of the European Union Delegation to the Help International School in Malaysia to conduct a fantastic session with the students and teachers to introduce them to the European Union and its characteristics.
The European Union Delegation also shared some glimpses from the event. The students were taught about the European Union, primarily located in Europe with a total population of around 447 million and an economic member of 27 Countries worldwide. The European Union has a total area of around 4,233,255.3 km2. It is also described as a Political entity, combining characteristics of a federation and a confederation.
The European Union, which was established with its citizenship in 1993 when the Maastricht Treaty came into force and was subsequently incorporated as an international law juridical person in 2009 upon its entry into force of the Treaty of Lisbon, The beginnings of the European Union may be traced to its earliest predecessors incorporated primarily by a group of founding states known as the Inner Six which including Belgium, France, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, and West Germany in 1948 at the start of modern institutionalised European integration.
At the Help International School, The European Union Delegation taught the students about the European Union, Its functions, roles and working in the world, and the member countries it includes. At the event, the Deputy of Mission, Timo Goosmann, introduced the students to the European Union. The Political officer and Erasmus+ alum Ronald Willie Binati shared about Erasmus+ and educational opportunities in Europe, especially for European Union and Children members.
At last, the European Union Delegation expressed their gratitude to the teachers and students for interacting with them during this unique session organised at the Help International School. They also thanked them for the same.
