General Brain Peddle, CEO and Leader of the Salvation Army of Canada visited the Korean Territory recently and expressed his pleasure and excitement in celebrating 115 years of the ministry in Korea.
General Brain Peddle, CEO and Leader of the Salvation Army in Canada, who is also the 21st General of the Salvation Army, felt excited to visit the Korean Territory finally after the covid pandemic got to visit there. The CEO, General Brain Peddle, also expressed his pleasure in the successful celebration of the 115 years of the ministry in Korea and shared about its success on his social media handle on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 and also shared some of the pictures from the programme.
General Brain Peddle shared that the theme for their meetings at the Korea Territory gatherings was taken from the holy Bible Verse of the Christians ‘John 4:29 ‘, Come and See a man….’ and felt happy and joyous to engage in this theme whose context is taken from this verse and also asked the Salvationists of Korea to also, ‘Go and Tell.’
God moved in each meeting and was present in every gathering, including Officers, Cadets, our young people and congregations in Daejeon and Seoul. Worship always had a clear focus on passionate prayer and the preaching of the Word, which brought seekers to the front, creating an even deeper passion for the mission of God in the world.
On his long Social media handle, General Brain Peddle shared that the Attendance exceeded expectations, allowing them to meet people, interact with their youth and be encouraged by the people of this Territory.
He also expressed his feelings of being blessed by the music sections, children’s choir, choral scripture readings, testimonies, youth leadership of worship and faithful local leaders, as they all brought honour and glory to God.
General Brain Peddle shared that a part of this visit gave him two days in Cambodia, where the Korean Territory is nurturing a very successful expression of the Salvation Army. Nearly 500 gathered where the Salvation Army enrolled 122 soldiers and commissioned eight new Lieutenants.
At last, General Brain expressed his pleasure and specially thanked salvation army leaders and people who prayed for continued accomplishments in God’s Kingdom. “God bless Korea and the Salvation Army and its ministry across this nation”, added General Brain Peddle.
