The German Football Federation (DFB) has made an announcement on Sunday that it has reached an agreement with the players’ representatives on bonuses at the next World Cup.
In case of win, each of the player will receive a €400,000 bonus.
Meanwhile, the chairman of the DFB, Bernd Neuendorf, said, “We had sustained talks in a good and constructive atmosphere. In the end, a compromise acceptable to all parties emerged.”
A first place in the group stage will earn each player a 50,000 euros bonus, a place in the quarter-finals 100,000 euros, and a place in the semi-finals 150,000 euros.
Third place will be worth 200,000 euros more for each player and the final 250,000 euros.
Germany has been drawn into Group E along with Japan (November 23), Spain (November 27) and Costa Rica (December 1).
The Mannschaft have already won four World Cup titles: 1954 in Switzerland, 1974 in West Germany, 1990 in Italy and 2014 in Brazil.
