India: National Security Advisor Ajit Doval has emphasized that India will always retain the Afghan people when needed. He also stated that fulfilling the humanitarian needs of the Afghan people is India’s top priority.

While participating in the fifth Multilateral Meeting of Secretaries of Security Councils and National Security Advisers on Afghanistan on Wednesday in Moscow, Doval highlighted the importance of an all-inclusive and representative government in Kabul and the need for teamwork to fight against terrorism.

The national security advisor for India highlighted that no nation was allowed to utilize Afghan territory to export terrorism and that the area’s natural riches should be used to the advantage of Afghan nationalists.

Doval further highlighted that Afghanistan is going through a challenging time and that India and Afghanistan have a long and special relationship.

He stated that India’s first goal is to meet the humanitarian needs of Afghan citizens. “India would never desert the Afghan people in their hour of need,” declared Doval.

According to the sources, India has sent 40,000 MT of wheat, 60 tonnes of pharmaceuticals, 500,000 Covid vaccinations, winter clothes, and 28 tonnes of disaster relief, focusing on food security and medical supplies. The technical team from India is in charge of the programme for humanitarian aid.

In support of Afghans, India has given new scholarships to 2260 Afghan students during the last two years, including 300 Afghan girls.

According to him, fighting with “Daesh and terror outfits like LeT and JeM demands greater intelligence and security collaboration” between the various states and their agencies. Terrorism has grown to be a significant danger in the region.

Doval reportedly remarked that “no country should be allowed to use Afghan land to export terrorism and radicalization.

Under the leadership of NSA Ajit Doval, the third iteration of the Multilateral Security Dialogue on Afghanistan was held in New Delhi in November 2021. In May 2022, the fourth gathering took place in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.
