The 12-year-old girl “Lola”, who was found dead on Friday night in a suitcase near her home in Paris, died of suffocation. The following information has been confirmed via an autopsy report.
A homeless person made the gruesome discovery in the suitcase and notified the police. The girl’s body was wrapped in cloth. She also suffered injuries to the neck. The prosecutor’s office opened an investigation which has led to six arrests through their individual roles have yet to be determined.
Lola was reportedly missing Friday afternoon and the police acted quickly as there were signs of a kidnapping. The girl’s mother has reported that her daughter had not come home. Her father, who is the caretaker of the building where they live, said to police that surveillance cameras show that she had returned that afternoon.
The investigation is still going on with no remarks from the public prosecutor for the time being.
