President of Russia Vladimir Putin has sacked his top generals and is furious at his intelligence officials over Moscow’s losses in the Ukraine war, Kyiv has claimed. The Federal Security Service (FSB) is in his firing line for the poor strategy for a series of embarrassing defeats for Russia, Ukraine’s Defence Secretary Oleksiy Danilov claimed.

He was quoted as saying by reports that eight(8) Russian military generals have been fired till now, & Russia has also altered its tactics. “New ones have been recruited. We clearly know what is happening in the Russian Federation. I can tell they are desperate,” Danilov was quoted as saying.

Danilov further added that, “The Russians never thought that this nation is so united.”

However, the Ukrainian defence secretary said that the road ahead “will not be easy”. “Will it be difficult? Yes, it will be difficult, don’t underestimate the opposition. We beat him in all directions, but he, like locusts, creeps and crawls,” said Danilov.

At the same time, Philip Ingram, a security expert and former senior British intelligence office said that Putin is ‘very angry’ and is blaming his intelligence agencies.

The report further stated that the Russian President is outraged with commanders of FSB, which is a successor agency to the KGB, for stating that Ukraine was weak & would give-up easily when attacked.

The continuous war has been going on in Ukraine for the past two weeks, and Russian troops are heading towards the capital city of Kyiv. They carried out three(3) airstrikes in the Ukrainian city of Dnipro, in which one person has been killed. Ukraine’s emergency services said that the strikes were close to a kindergarten and an apartment building.

As per the reports, Russian forces had destroyed 3,213 Ukrainian military installations since the launch of what Russia calls a “special military operation” in Ukraine.
