St Kitts & Nevis: Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew appreciated all the constituents of St Peter’s and the entire country, thanked them for having patience and understanding for the water situation, and shared that the government is continuing to work towards rectifying the water situation in the country.

Prime Minister of St Kitts & Nevis, Dr Terrance Drew, took to his social media recently to express his pleasure and gratitude and appreciate his constituents and thanked them for having patience and understanding for the water issues they are facing. The Prime Minister shared that the government is continuing in its efforts to bring the improvisation in the water issues and rectify the water situation.

In addition, PM Dr Terrance also shared about the maintenance for the arid weather conditions being conducted on Friday, June 2, 2023, to address the water issues of the consumers of Upper Monkey Hill, that has been interrupted due to extremely low levels in the Stapleton Reservoir and ongoing issue of lack of rainfall.

As per the Updates, The Water Sevices Department has also made certain regressions over the inconvenience the water interruption has caused the people and shared that they have been doing everything possible to improve the storage level, including trucking water to the tank. They also encouraged people who have minimised their water usage as it would help the level build up faster.

Further, PM Dr Terrance also urged people to continue being mindful and conservative about water usage and shared that the government is being continuous in their efforts and is working diligently to provide access to potable water, ” We understand the difficulties we have been facing regarding the water situation due to the dry weather, but we continue to work diligently to rectify the situation to provide better access to potable water. We are serious about addressing this issue. The company BEAD is already on site in Cayon”. He added.
