Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: Terrence Drew, the prime minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, recently assured the populace that eye surgery at the Joseph N. France General Hospital would soon resume.
He claimed that after it was discovered that the eye clinic was lacking equipment, an order for medical equipment worth hundreds of thousands of dollars had to be made.
Using his social media accounts, Minister Drew stated that a variety of sophisticated equipment for heart surgery, eye surgery, and other kind of surgeries requiring specialised equipment will be sent to hospitals after determining which hospitals most urgently need it.
St. Kitts and Nevis’s Prime Minister is primarily concerned with improving the country’s healthcare system so its inhabitants can receive satisfying care and effective outcomes. He scheduled a meeting with representatives from the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) for March 8.
His main objective is to improve the nation’s healthcare system by developing smart hospitals with cutting-edge technology, quick services, increased privacy, and high-tech security. Under the direction of PM Terrance Drew, the twin Island Federation will soon have one of the Caribbean’s most advanced medical facilities as well as many smart hospitals spread across various regions.
As PM Drew observed, the expansion of the healthcare sector requires more than advanced technology and cutting-edge hospitals. Experienced and motivated people are also needed. A great healthcare system is built on a knowledgeable and skilled workforce.
Minister Drew encouraged St. Kitts and Nevis medical professionals to work efficiently and responsibly. He gave them some crucial life lessons relevant to their line of work while meeting the nurses in the country.
He praised them for their significant contribution to the growth of St. Kitts and Nevis’s health sector and urged them to perform their duties diligently as the development of the country’s Medical structure relies on them.
Also, PM Drew noted that some nurses and medical personnel had been employed for a considerable amount of time. He thanks them for their assistance and assures them that he will improve the nation’s medical facilities as quickly as possible.
