On the sixth match day of the Europa League, Ludogorets will play Roma. Roma must win the match to avoid having to play in the UEFA Conference League again.

Roma currently holds the third spot in the group c’s point standings, with seven points trailing Ludogorets. The Bulgarian team, nicknamed Eagles, has done admirably in recent league games, which gives them more confidence as they compete against Roma to go to the UEFA Europa League round of 16.

Roma suffered a 2-1 loss at Ludogorets arena in their most recent meeting on matchday 1, moving the Eagles ahead of the opposition. The second leg will be played tomorrow at Stadio Olympio, which has 70,000 seats and is the biggest arena in Italy.

The Italian team will need to win the game in order to stay in the Europa league; otherwise, they will have to play in the Conference league. Roma’s head coach, Jose Mourinho, made it clear in a news conference that neither he nor his team is interested in competing in the Conference League, despite the fact that they won the league last year.

Mourinho emphasized, “The game is a challenge for both of us. Once again, the stadium is sold out, and I hope we don’t let our supporters down. If we lose tomorrow, we’ll be forced to play in the conference league, which we don’t like. We have to go on to the elimination phase. We must compete if we want to succeed. To continue competing in the Europa League, the boys need motivation”.

Speaking of Zaniolo’s injury, Mourinho said that due to swelling in his leg, he will be out for three to four weeks and that the doctors haven’t seen a significant improvement yet. He feels that having a player like Zaniolo on the club is crucial because of his ability to contribute to the team’s victory.
