The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, extended his heartfelt gratitude and thanked all the volunteers who stood up firmly with Odesa and helped the victims to be rescued and taken to a safer place.
As per the Update, A video of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy was posted on the official Facebook site of the Ukraine Embassy a few hours ago today, Monday, July 24, 2023, in which he is extending his heartfelt gratitude to everyone for supporting and standing with Ukraine.
In the video, President Volodymyr thanked everyone who has been helping the people of Odesa for extending their great efforts and contributions to serve sensitive lives.
He said, “I thank every person who is with Odesa. I thank everyone in the city who is helping the victims and clearing the rubble. Rescuers and doctors, military and police, volunteers and local authorities. Businesses that have joined in. I also thank all the city residents. It is very important to help each other and your city!
Further, He also shared his pleasure and thanked those in the world who have already condemned this latest manifestation of Russian evil. He said they cannot allow people worldwide to get used to terrorist attacks.
“The target of all these missiles is not just cities, villages or people. Their target is humanity and the foundations of our entire European culture. There has never been a terrorist capable of overcoming the world, and these Kremlin madmen will not succeed either,” he added.
President Volodymyr also announced starting the adequate preparations for the upcoming week. There will be a lot of different events that will bolster Ukraine’s defence.
He also especially thanked NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg for promptly convening the first meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Council. After his conversation with the NATO secretary yesterday, Sunday, July 23, 2023, they agreed to hold the official meeting this Wednesday, July 26, 2023. “We are preparing it to be meaningful,” he asserted.
Reportedly, The President also assured the people about preparing new support packages from their partners and said, “everything that brings the defeat of Russian terrorists closer. More air defence for Ukraine, more artillery, more long-range weapons. The recipe for ending the war is obvious: everything depends on the unity and determination of all those who value freedom, culture and life”.
