New Zealand: The American Official Diplomat and United States Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, met with the Prime Minister of New Zealand, Chris Hipkins, today, Friday, July 28, 2023, to discuss the critical points on the United States and New Zealand Bilateral relationship and to strengthen it.
As per the reports, The American Official Diplomat and the United States Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, visited Wellington on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, to meet Prime Minister Chris Hipkins. Both highlighted several key points to strengthen their bilateral ties and active collaborations on solutions to regional and global challenges.
During the meeting, the US Secretary of State, Blinken, underscored the importance of the Pacific Islands region to the United States and emphasized his confidence that the United States and New Zealand would continue working together to engage and support their partners in the Pacific.
Secretary Blinken also extended gratitude and pleasure to Prime Minister Hipkins and thanked him for New Zealand’s generosity in its continued support for the people of Ukraine against Russia’s violation of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
He emphasized the importance of attending New Zealand’s NATO Summit in Vilnius earlier this month, where New Zealand pledged additional support to Ukraine, including $3 million for recovery and reconstruction assistance.
To honour the Bilateral meeting with New Zealand’s Prime Minister, several US delegates, including the US state Spokesperson under Secretary Blinken, Matthew Miller and Ambassador Tom Udall, took their official social media handle and also shared some glimpses highlighting the US-New Zealand long-term relations.
The two sides discussed their trips to the People’s Republic of China. Secretary Blinken reaffirmed the United States’ commitment to supporting a free and prosperous Indo-Pacific region, a goal which Prime Minister Hipkins shared.
