The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to the Philippines, Michael Parys, recently hosted a send-off Party for Filipino students pursuing their higher education in Belgium this year, 2023, at the Belgian Residence.
As per the Update, the send-off Party for Filipino students was opened by a warm message from Ambassador Michael Parys, followed by a toast wishing the students the best for their studies.
Many activities and games were organized for the students during the send-off party. A quick raffle quiz was also done to test the students’ knowledge about Belgium, in which five (5) lucky winners could take home FocusOnBelgium merchandise s prizes.
The Philippine Association of Belgian University Scholars (PhilABUS) also prepared small tokens for the students as a mini “boarding pass” to Belgium.
The Embassy of Belgium in Manila also extended their heartfelt greetings and congratulated everyone and the rest of the incoming students who will also be pursuing their higher education in Belgium this year.
The Embassy also shared some glimpses from the party organized at the Belgian Embassy.
Filipino students were presented with honourable prizes during the Send-off party. Ambassador Michael Parys addressed the students and extended his heartfelt greetings to them. He also wished the students all the best for their future endeavours.
Reportedly, the Philippine Association of Belgian University Scholars is a Filipino global organization of Belgian university scholars fervently dedicated to serving the Filipino community by exhibiting excellence through collaborative partnership and volunteerism.

- To establish and sustain linkages with Belgian universities and cooperation agencies in the European Union.
