Bucharest, Romania: The Embassy of Finland in Bucharest celebrated the month of June as a month of pride for them. They celebrated the Vibrant LGBTQ+ community worldwide to commemorate the ongoing struggle for human rights and to review their commitment to the inclusion, participation and protection of all people irrespective of their sexual orientation and gender identity.
On celebrating the month of June, The Embassy of Finland in Bucharest, on their social media handle, shared that June is Pride Month for them. They celebrate the vibrant LGBTQI+ community worldwide, commemorate the ongoing struggle for human rights, and renew their commitment to the inclusion, participation, and protection of all people, irrespective of their sexual orientation or gender identity.
In that spirit, the Embassy of Finland expressed solidarity with LGBTQI+ persons in the Republic of Moldova and worldwide, reaffirming that LGBTQI+ rights are human rights. As stated in the Universal Declaration for Human Rights, which celebrates its 75th anniversary this year, everyone is entitled to all rights — including the right to peaceful assembly, the right to freedom of association, the right to freedom of expression, and the right to equal protection under the law.
The Embassy of Finland, on celebrating the month of June as the month of pride, shared that countries have made significant strides in ensuring full and equal rights for LGBTQI+ persons. They also shared that they will continue to progress by working together. The embassy expressed that they are committed to working with their partners and volunteers in the Republic of Moldova and worldwide to advance human rights and equality.
