Guwahati, Assam: The Narengi Military Station, Located in Guwahati, Assam, is all set to be converted into a fully green solar energy plant with a Capacity of 1 Mega Watts to benefit the troops of the Indian Army.
As per the update, the Indian Army has been taking all practical measures to bring effective transformations in the Narengi Military Station by adopting the efficient means of eco-friendly changes that would benefit the army militants and would be highly effective for them in bringing several enhancements into their living conditions.
In order to undergo the significant changes in the living conditions for the military unit, the Indian Army is now planning to take help from renewable sources of energy, that is, by depending on Water, Sun, and wind which will help to bring advancements and effective changes into the living conditions for the army units in high altitudes.
The army is banking on renewable energy as it derives energy sources from wind, water and sun, which will benefit the military in high altitudes and enhance its personnel’s living conditions.
The Army units have also installed several basic requirements to modify the Narengi Military Stations. They installed a system of Real-Time Data Acquisition and Required Parameter Monitoring for analysis of Power Generation each day, incorporating weather parameter sensors like wind
direction sensor, wind speed sensor, solar radiation sensor, humidity sensor, temperature sensor and barometer pressure.
The Narengi Military Station covering an area of around 3300 acres of land, is considered to be one of the logistics hubs for the Eastern Theatre that provides all kinds of support for operational preparedness to the Indian Army, including mechanical support, fuel, rations, vehicles, ammunition and other essential tools.
