Punjab, India: As part of its most recent campaign against the extremist separatist group, the Punjab Police has detained Daljeet Kalsi, a close associate of Waris Punjab De leader Amritpal Singh.
Kalsi, who resides in West Punjabi Bagh, serves as the organization’s financial manager and advisor. In accordance with National Security Act section 3(2), Kalsi has been held by Punjab Police.
Daljit Kalsi was observed handing a memorandum critical of India to the Pakistani Consul General in the Sikh Separatist hotspot of Vancouver, Canada, according to the Punjab Police, who have established a connection between him and Amritpal Singh.
Additionally, Amritpal, the head of Waris Punjab De who is fleeing, and Kalsi have frequently been seen together in public.
Additionally, it has been claimed that Kalsi was responsible for Amritpal’s dubious appointment as the organization’s “Mukh Sevadar” after the passing of Sandeep Singh, also known as Deep Sidhu in Punjab. Significantly, on February 15 of last year, Deep Sidhu passed away in a car accident.
The Ajnala Police station incident has also been connected to Daljeet Kalsi, an actor and writer by trade. According to the reports, Kalsi actively coordinated the plan to vandalise the Ajnala Police Station on February 23, 2023, with the Pakistani government through the consulate generals in Vancouver and Dubai.
The National Security planners are also aware that Canada and the UK are providing financial support to Sikh extremist activities. Also, the national security organisations of these countries have been ignoring security issues in India.
