Philippines: The Ministry of Human Settlements and Development, the Housing Arm of the BARMM, led by several delegations, signed contracts with several contractors to construct five training centres and four enhancements of resettlement housing projects across the BARMM.
Reportedly, the event was held at the Conference Room of the MHSD Regional Office, Bangsamoro Government Center, Cotabato City, on August 23, 2023.
The Delegations from the MHSD, including the housing of BARMM, were led by Minister Atty—Hamid Aminoddin D. Barra with Deputy Minister Aldin H. Asiri and Bangsamoro Director General Esmael W. Ebrahim.
The delegations signed contracts with several contractors to construct five training centres and four enhancements of resettlement housing projects across the BARMM.
“Since the BARMM entrusted these projects to the MHSD, we are accountable to the Bangsamoro people and the whole nation. Most importantly, it is our accountability to Allah SWT.
Thus, we expect the contractors to finish the projects according to their plans, specifications and timeline,” Minister Barra reiterated.
BDG Ebrahim then congratulated the contractors while emphasizing the quality of output expected from them for the benefit of the beneficiaries Funded under the Transitional Development Impact Fund (TDIF) 2022, a Two-Storey Multi-Purpose Human Development Training Center will be constructed in Brgy. Salimbao, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao under the Office of Member of the Parliament (MP) Abdullah E. Gayak.
One-storey multi-purpose Human Development Centers will be constructed in Brgy. Amai Sindaolan, Masiu, Lanao del Sur under MP. Maisara C. Dandamun-Latiph, and in Brgy. Pasil, Indanan, Sulu under MP Atty. Jose I. Lorena.
Meanwhile, two One-Storey Multi-Purpose Human Development Centers will be constructed in Lanao del Norte, one in Camp Bilal, Brgy. Tamparan, Munai, and another in Brgy. West Poblacion, Balo-I, both funded under MP Abdullah “Bravo” G. Macapaar.
Contracts were also signed to construct Concrete Arch Entrances in Resettlement Housing Projects in Lanao del Sur, particularly in Brgy. Guindolongan Alabat and Brgy. Lakadun, Masiu, as well as in Brgy. Punod, Tangcal, to be built by Al-Hayat Construction, who will also lead the construction of the training centre in Brgy. Amai Sindaolan.
A Perimeter Fence with a Concrete Arch Entrance and Subdivision Road Network with a Line Canal and Solar Street Lights will be established in the Resettlement Housing Projects in Pigcawayan, North Cotabato, one in Brgy. Simsiman and another in Brgy. Buricain.
ENRA T-Square Construction will be in charge of the construction in Brgy. Simsiman, while RNS Construction Engineering will be constructing for Brgy. Buricain.
San Narciso Builders Corporation will install four hundred fifty units of Solar Power Systems in the Housing Resettlement Projects in Poblacion 9, Cotabato City, Brgy.
Nabalawag, Barira; Brgy. Salman, Ampatuan; Brgy. Simsiman, Pangankalan and Buricain in Pigcawayan; Brgy. Guindolongan Alabat and Brgy. Lakadun in Masiu, and; Brgy. Punod, in Tangcal.
Ground Level Construction will be constructing the training centre under MP Gayak and expanding the MHSD Regional Office at the Bangsamoro Government Center, Cotabato City.
Meanwhile, Maradeka Construction Services will construct training centres in Lanao del Norte and USF Construction and Hardware Trading for Sulu.
Proprietors and representatives from the winning bidders committed to completing the projects responsibly by the specifications and timelines.
Majeed M. Moslem, Chief of Staff and Salem C. Demuna, Director II for Operations and Management, witnessed the momentous event.
