St Kitts and Nevis:  Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew raised his concern over the recent robberies at two RAMS Supermarkets and the alleged armed robbery at Douglas Estate, St. Peter’s, that had hugely affected the local business of his communities on Friday evening, August 10, 2023.

While raising his concern, Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew extended his support to his constituents who have to face losses due to robbery and paid a visit to the RAMS Supermarket recently to meet his constituency members and to put into his concern deeply.

Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew expressed that he is deeply troubled by these tragedies, which have profoundly affected local businesses. He also ensured people condemned the actions of those engaged in the theft.

I wholeheartedly condemn the actions of the perpetrators who engaged in the robbery of the two RAMS supermarkets last evening and the alleged armed robbery at Douglas Estate, St. Peter’s.” 

“I am deeply troubled by the recent events. These criminal acts negatively affect our community, and businesses must discontinue.”

 “Your Government is committed to working closely with law enforcement to ensure safety and bring those responsible to justice.”

Further, Prime Minister Dr Terrance also shared some glimpses from his meeting with local constituents. Prime Minister Dr Terrance seemed deeply concerned about the issue during his visit. He also actively participated in one two one negotiations with his constituents to look into the matter closely.

As per the Investigations, it was suspected that the robbery happened at approximately 6:30 pm on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at RAM’s supermarket at Camps. In the CCTV footage, four armed and masked robbers were found wearing hoodies, who robbed four cashier stations and took off a large amount of money.

The other robbery was observed at approximately 7:55 pm, where the four armed and masked robbers wearing all black entered Ram’s Supermarket at Bird Rock and took significant money from the cashiers.
