As per the Update, MP John Lamont visited Il Toro Pizzeria on Friday, June 30, 2023, after a busy day on the summer surgery tour. He was also seen trying pizza in their Kitchen. While expressing his pleasure, he stated, “It was nice to grab pizza for lunch at the newly opened Il Toro Pizzeria in Duns.”

The Member of Parliament for the three constituencies, MP John Lamont, has also been serving as the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Scotland since October 2022.
In June 2017, John Lamont was elected Member of Parliament for Berwickshire, Roxburgh and Selkirk by securing a significant difference with the accurate majority of 11,060 votes, which made the constituency the Securest Conservative seat in Scotland.
