The British Conservative Party Politician and Member of Parliament for Lichfield, Staffordshire, Michael Fabricant, expressed his pleasure to the House of Commons, which has ranked him in the top 7% of participants in Parliamentary votes, making him one of the most active MPs in Parliament.

While expressing his pleasure to the House of Commons, the Member of Parliament for Lichfield, Staffordshire, Michael Fabricant, took to his official social media handle recently.

As per the update, MP Michael Fabricant shared that the voting record of MPs is an indicator of their work in Parliament though some MPs will be unable to vote for health reasons, or because they are away on official visits for House business, or for other reasons,”.

“Nevertheless, I was pleased to see from the House of Commons Library data that I was in the top seven per cent for voting in the 2022/2023 session,” says Michael.

Further, MP Michael shared, “I participated in 91.2% of all votes compared to an average voting record for all MPs of just 69%. In other words, out of 650 MPs, 604 voted fewer times than me in the 22-23 Parliamentary Session.”

Furthermore, MP Michael Fabricant, while also expressing his concern from remaining abstain from votes along with other MPs, shared, “Sometimes I deliberately abstain from votes along with other MPs for tactical reasons, usually connected with motions not put down by the Government and/or for those which cannot become law in any event. My most recent abstention was on the Boris Johnson motion, where I generally agreed with the Committee’s findings, but not with the harshness of their ‘sentence’, which I thought was particularly vindictive.”

At last, while expressing his pleasure, he shared, “I’m in the top 3% of West Midlands MPs.”
“I am also one of the most active MPs in Parliament for speaking in the Chamber.” he expressed.
