As part of India’s growth plans, the Indian international airline Air India has purchased 250 aircraft from Airbus and up to 290 aircraft from Boeing, breaking records by completing most extensive purchase in aviation history.
US President Joe Biden, French President Emmanuel Macron, and British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak praised Air India’s billion-dollar agreements with Airbus and Boeing to purchase new passenger aircrafts.
The expansion of the India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership, which has led to great growth in all sectors, including technology, business, defence, and bilateral relations, was welcomed by both Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Joe Biden.
They praised the announcement of a historic deal between Air India and Boeing, an example of a beneficial partnership that will increase employment and new job opportunities in both countries.
Twenty 787 Dreamliners, ten 777X aircraft, and 190 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft have been chosen by Air India. The deal between Boeing and Air India also includes additional twenty 787-9s and 50 737 MAXs.
